Snow/Ice Policy for Group Exercise classes including Cycling: If school is cancelled due to inclement weather, all morning classes will also be cancelled. Please check with the front desk at 3 p.m. to see if evening classes are cancelled, too. Additional cancellations will be made on a day to day basis.
The Henderson County Family YMCA may cancel any fitness class without notice that does not maintain a minimum attendance of five (5) members consistently .
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS (Classes are free with your Y membership!)
Zumba: Latin dance & fitness moves make this class fun & exciting. Be prepared to burn it up! No experience necessary.
Group Cycling: Burn calories, tone up, & increase fitness level with interval drills, hill climbs, & speed training. Class space is limited so you may call ahead to reserve your bike. RPM cycling/Les Mills program.
Yoga/Pilates: Transform the look of your body! This class will increase muscular endurance and functional core strength. Incorporates Yoga poses, props and helps bring spirit, mind and body into balance. Pilates compliments this workout by creating a strong core for optimum health.
Yoga: Stretching through a series of poses and creating a balance between the body and the mind. Great way to start of your day.
Body Blast: Whether you are a regular to the gym or today is your first day Body Blast is for you! Resistance training, cardio work, & body weight exercises.
Silver Sneakers Classic: Have fun & move to music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength & range of motion and activity for daily living. Hand weights & elastic tubing and balls will be used to enhance a series of seated and/or standing positions.

AM Energizer: Get moving at this early morning class with weights, cardio and core workout.
Circuit Interval: This class uses various equipment and this type of class helps to build stamina with its 3:1 ratios of cardio and muscular strength moves.
R.I.P.P.E.D.: The One Stop Body Shock incorporates Resistance, Interval, Power, Plyometric and Endurance in a constant changing format. Work at your own level.
Tabata: HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) consists of 20 seconds on and 10 seconds rest with a variety of movements working for 4 minutes and resting for one minute. Will challenge every muscle with whole body exercises.

Body Pump - Les Mills
Weight training class using barbells weights & floor work
