SATURDAY YOUTH TENNIS LESSONS STARTS
NOVEMBER 5, 2011 - 5 WEEKS

BEGINNER LEVEL- No Skills or Very Limited Skills
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL - Basic Skills & Some Formal Instruction
PER CLASS ENROLLMENT: Maximum 6 ; Minimum 3
FINANCIAL AID: For Low Income Families-Form At Service Desk
BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE (Ages 5 -9)
Saturdays: 9:00 - 9:45 am or 9:45 – 10:30 am
BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE (Ages 9 - 11)
Saturdays: 10:30 – 11:15 am
BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE (Ages 11 - 15)
Saturdays: 11:15 - 12 Noon

YMCA TENNIS COURT USE &
REFUND POLICIES UPDATED AS OF SEPTEMBER 2009
(No loud noises, horse playing or hanging on the
nets)
1) FOR YMCA MEMBERS ONLY AND THEIR
PAYING GUEST
- Members
can include non-members if their guests pay the guest fee of
$10.00. Guests must pay the guest fee even if they area
member of another YMCA and can only use the Henderson YMCA a
maximum of 12 times per calendar year.
- Must sign
the book.
- Groups can
consist of different players.
- Like all Y
members, membership card must be shown at the Service desk
upon each visit and taken upon leaving the Y. Members are
allowed I sign-in per month without their card.
- Court
reservations given priority; with rentals, special events
and lessons displacing reservations only as is necessary.
Refunds will be given for all displaced times.
2) COURT RESERVATIONS &
FEE
(Assistance available for low income)
Previous or current year reservation days/times will not be
"saved" for future years.
- PER COURT
FEE; MAY-SEPT, $11 per hour; OCT-APRIL, $15 per hour, with a
maximum of 4 people per court. If only 1 court is paid for,
players can not use the second court, even if not used.
- No
discount of court fee for long term permanent court time
reservations.
- Month to
month reservations may be done by phone if paying by VISA or
Master Card.

Reservations for longer than 1 month must be done in person
and a form filled out.
- DAILY WALK
IN Reservations By Members or guests is Allowed, if a Court
is Available.
- Only
current Y members can make a long term court
reservations-more than 1 play time.
Reservations must be done in
½ hour increments minimum and a maximum of 2 hours per court.
Month to month change/cancel1ation requests require a 48 hour
notice in person or by phone: members risk refund if phone
cancellation can't be verified by a Y employee.
Change/cancellation request longer than 1 month away require
form to be filled out.
- Must pay
fill court fees at time of reservation for all court time the
member wishes to secure for their group lISe. Visa and
Master Card accepted in person or over the phone.
- Time slots
not secured with a payment, can not be "'saved" for any
member, and court reservations can not be transferred to any
other Y member.
Only prepaid court
reservations are to be put in the Tennis Reservation Book.
- Members
may make prepaid reservations as far in advance as April and
may pay by check., Visa or Master Card. (Cash payments are
discouraged in case of no receipt.)
- Refunds
will only be given if the member reserving the court
notifies the YMCA at least 48 hours in advance of the
reservation time, in writing or phone. Written notification
is recommended. No refund given if phone cancellation can not
be verified by a Y employee.
- Full
refund given if due to facility problem, Y closing due to
inclement weather, special event or rental. No refund or
credit given for players not showing up at reserved times,
unless due to one of the above reasons. No other time slots
will be given and no extension of the reserved time. All
players must exit the court at the end of their reserved
time, even if the court(s) are not reserved after this time.
(GUM, SODA, SNACKS, FOOD,
ALCOHOL & SMOKING ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE)
3) TENNIS AGE USE POLICY
- Must be at least age 10 to reserve and
prepay for court time without an adult.
- Under age 10 may only play tennis on
courts IF with a parent, adult or relative age 16 or older
who also is a Y member, or if child is enrolled in a Y
tennis lesson and then for the class time period only.
- The multi-rec facility is for members
to play tennis or walk/jog; not a play area or babysitting
site; children under age 10 not playing tennis or not
walking/jogging alongside a parent are NOT ALLOWED INSIDE
THE TENNIS/WALK/JOG area.
- Children 10 or older may use the
walk/jog track as long as they are not fooling around.
4) TENNIS EQUIPMENT & BALLS
- The Y has a few older racquets and
balls available for members or guests to use, if they don't
have their own equipment or forget it, so as not to lose
their court time.
5) REASONS OR MEMBERSHIP TERMINATION BY THE
YMCA
- Any type of misuse of multi-rec
facility; the emergency exits, letting people in thru
emergency doors or windows; abusive or offensive conduct,
language or threats toward another member or Y staff, will
be cause for the Executive Director to terminate the
person(s) Y membership and use of any Y facilities for up to
1 year, depending on the severity of the action and
cooperation of the person. No refunds or credits will be
given on any remaining membership or pre-paid court fees.
6) MULTI-REC/TENNIS FACILITY
RENTAL/TOURNAMENTS
- Rentals will be limited to several
tennis tournaments during the winter months. Written signage
will be put up to notify members when area will be closed.
7) OUTSIDE GROUP USAGE & TENNIS LESSONS
- Will try to limit to the least used
court times as much as possible, so we can better serve our
tennis playing members. Youth lessons may be offered during
the day, right after school or on Saturday mornings for 1-2
hours. Lesson fees will be in line with what other Y
programs charge, so more kids can participate.
